So I finally bought myself 2 new tires for my Rotas. Of course, 245/35/18 is carried by few and highly priced by all so bye bye all of last weeks paycheck.

After much nagging by my friend I bought these Rotas from him. I really liked the color but wasn't sure how the 18s would look (there were 0 examples of Rotas on a 4 door e36 on teh interwebs for reference)

Got them on last night and I'm really digging them. I especially love that there is minimal camber even though I'm on Eibach sport springs due to the high offset.

I also know that Rotas are cheap cast ripoffs of volk te-37s, I bought them because I got a great deal on them and have other wheels in mind for track days.

Let me know what you guys think.

Jealous you be putting on summers already. Here the river ice is still thick enough to drive your car across.

The Rota Grid (TE37 knockoff) wheels are popular on the ST's. Though people are paying a premium, or what I think is a premium for them, about 1,000-1,100. I think they're some of the best looking wheels available for these cars but there's no way I'm paying that much for them.

yeah I agree, they are some of the best looking aftermarket on quite a few different cars. And yeah those premiums suck. I got mine for about 300 + some beat Bmw style 68s that my friend just put on a car to sell it

yeah it's a bit of a risk considering I'm in CT where it just snowed 3 days ago.

But my snows don't have much life left so I wanted to get them off the car asap so hopefully get another season out of them

and yeah I said te-37 knock offs in the Article knowing that the the te-37s are 6 spoke. Not sure what the 5spoke equivalent is but I figured they may have just taken some artistic liberties

Makes sense. Opposite over here, summers totally borked, winters brand new. Endless winter commence :P
